Dream and Vision from my article at the hill topper

If you ask me how you became a musician, I would say it was from my church choir. One of turning point in my life was joining the youth choir. My childhood dream was being a physician until I joined the choir. Even though I started taking piano lesson when I was five, I never dream about being a musician. My home church has great choir programs for preschool to adults. There are seven adult choirs, three children’s choir, two youth choirs, and small choirs among seniors and women. Most people hardly miss a rehearsal and Sundays. If I share how we do in here, they will not believe it.If you miss twice rehearsals without any resonable notes, you are no longer a choir member. I know it sounds too strict for a volunteer. However, they still do that. They value their “devotion” as choir member as the most important matter. I agree that some people are ridiculously bold about the rules too. Beyond those devotion, and rules, I learned and dreamed how to serve my Lord with my music. I remembered how hard it was in first time rehearsals as a thirteen years old girl. Some directors were too strict and scary but those matters didn’t discourage me not to be part of the choir. I had to make up stories to go to the rehearsals and Sunday services to my dad and grandma. Also, I had to take a bus for an hour by myself to get there. However, any of them couldn’t stop me. I have been thankful that I did sing with the choir for those years. Ten of our youth handbell choir and Terri Jarrell with my family will attend the music and Liturgical art week at Lake Junaluska from 22nd to 27th. Whenever I see my youth musicians, I remember my youth in my church. I hardly missed the rehearsals. In fact, I got awards several years for 100% attendance. I loved praising the Lord most. And I dreamed being a great musician to contribute my knowledge and talents someday with other people. See, how I am now. God is just so faithful. I pray that our youth get chanlleged, and learn how to be devotional Christian musicians through this music retreat. And most of all, I pray that they dream and see real vision in the Lord. Please join me in prayers for our Youth and a safe trip. In addition, I want to thank you all from bottom of my heart for your support and love for our

This week anthem

This week anthem will be " the Potter's Hand" by Darlene Zschech. Sally will lead the choir and congregational hymms while youth and my family are on the way to Lake Junaluska for the music retreat.

Here is the beautiful text. I pray that we all lift our hearts to the Lord through this anthem.

The Potter's Hand

Beautiful Lord, wonderful Savior, I know for sure all of my days are held in your hand,
crafted into your perfect plan.

You gently call me into Your presence, guiding me by your Holy Spirit.
Teach me, dear Lord, to live all of my life through Your eyes.

I am captured by your Holy calling. Set me apart, I know you're drewing me to yourself.
Lead me, Lord, I pray.

Take me, mold me, use me, fill me. I give my life to the Potter's hand.
Call me, guide me, lead me, walk beside me.
I give my life to the Potter's hand. The Potter's hand.
