Ready to have a summer break?

The schools will start their summer break from May 21st. There will be no children's choir, chimes, and the youth handbell, choir, and ensemble during summer.

However, we will keep the chancel choir rehearsal on Wednesday night every week, and the new adult handbell rehearsal by week from June 10th for the beginner's class. We will work on only basic techniques and skills with simple music.

If you are interested in joining the beginners group of handbell, please contact me or come on June10th at 5:30 to the Curry.

This Wednesday(May 12) will be the last day for the children's choir, the youth music teams will finish during next week.

Thank you all for your effort and hearts to praising our Lord together! Hope you all have a wonderful summer!!

Happy Mother's Day!

It is already May!
This Sunday is Mother's day. Even though we do not do much to celebrate during worship services, the children's choir will sing a special song for mothers. I pray that may the Lord bless all those mothers with His comfort, and love!!

Here is a cute and lovely lyric of the song.
Prayer for Mothers by Donna Butler
1. God bless the mother who sings to her child, peaceful and calm, her words soft and mild. God, bless the mother awake in the night, rocking her child 'till morning light.
2. God bless the mother forgiving and wise, sharing God's grace through the light in her eyes. God bless the mother oppresed by her fears, carried by faith till hope reappears.
Refrain: Gather all mothers in tender embrace. Grant them your courage, your wisdom and grace. Honor their place in your sacred design, of healing the world one child at a time.

Happy mother's day to y'all!

The King of Love My Shepherd Is

This week's anthem is "The King of Love My Shepherd is" by John Ness Beck. It is composed with text from our favorite Psalm 23rd.
We pray May the Lord be upon us in worship when we lift up our hearts to Him.

I give my song.

This Sunday is our church family picnic! After 11:00 service, we will go to J. F. Gregory park for it. Please bring your family and friends~! As I heard, over 400 people always attened the picnic. I hope people come to the church first to lift their heart to the Lord in worship services on Sunday. Sadly, attending Sunday worship service seems not requirement to many Christians. I honestly could not understand about it as a Korean conservative Christian. The chancel choir will sing " I give my song" as our anthem this week, and the children's chimers will play "Simple gifts" at the second service as a special music.

Here is a lyric for the anthem. Wishing you all come to worship and fellowship at the park!

I Give My Song by Joseph Martin

What can I give to God my Creator? What can I do to show my love?
What can I give to my Lord and Savior? What can I bring? What can I bring?
What can I give to the Lord of creation? What do I have that's worthy of Him? What can I bring to the High Prince of heaven? What can I bring? What can I bring?
I can sing Alleluia, Lord, I adore You. All my days I can sing Your praise. I can give my song to You.

He fills my mouth with the joy of music, He fills my heart with the sounds of His love. He fills my life with the peace of His Spirit. Now I can sing, now I can sing. I can sing Alleluia. Lord, I adore You. All my days I can sing Your praise. I can give my song to You. I can give my song to You!

What Wondrous Love is This!

We are going to sing "What Wondrous Love is This" arranged by Lloyd Larson as our anthem this week. It is the same lyric of a hymn "what wondrous love is this" but a little bit different meoldy.
We can all have an intimate time to think about God's love through Jesus Christ during this Lent. Praying may the Lord bless us with His Holy Spirit that we all can feel His love deeply through this week worship.
The Inspi-Ringers will lift up a special song " Dearest Jesus" as our musical offertory.

Here is the lyric of our anthem.

What Wondrous Love is This, O My soul, o My soul; What wondrous love is this, O my soul!
What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!

When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down; I was sinking down; sinking down.
When I was sinking down beneath God's righteous frown, Christ laid aside His crown for my soul!

To God and to the lamb I will sing, I will sing; to God and to the Lamb I will sing!
To God and to the Lamb, who is the great " I Am." while milions join the theme, I will sing.

When from death I' m free, I'll sing on, I'll sing on, and when from death I'm free, I'll sing on!
And when from death I'm free, I'll sing and joyful be, and through eternity I'll sing on!
