It is time to PRAY!

We had two new members of our prayer walk on last Monday. They go to another church but they read about our prayer walk especially this week for the middle school and high school.
I was very grateful that new people joined to pray together for the schools especially.
Coming week, we will pray for our government workers in our town, police officers, firefighters, public service personnel, a mayor and so on. So, we will meet at the police department parking lot at 6:00!
Also, our prayer conference is this Saturday. It will be a wonderful opportunity for everyone. I know, lots of people already made their minds to go to somewhere else. HOWEVER, it is not late to change your minds. As we all see and feel about our economic situation, it is the time to pray!
If you say, prayer does not work in the economy. No way. Prayer works in everywhere because God is the one who reigns all the world. We can't see that really but if you try hard enough, you will find out who has the real power. Let's give up one Saturday for the football or pumpkin patch or family trips. The opportunity does not come often. If it does, we will not call it "opportunity" or "chance". Life is full of choices. That is one of beauties in our lives however, it can be painful too due to our choices. Let's pray. It is time to pray. not tomorrow or next week.

Come Share the Lord

October is already here!!

We will have a communion service on this Sunday.
The chancel choir will sing " Come share the Lord" as our anthem and the youth ensemble will play "Holy, Holy, Holy" and " Open my eyes and hearts O Lord" at their first time.
Please support the music ministries by your prayers.
Here is the text.
We gather here in Jesus' name, His Love is burning in our hearts like living flame.
For through His loving Son, the Father makes us on. Come take the bread, come drink the wine, come share the Lord.
We'll gather soon where angels sing, we'll see the glory of our Lord and coming King.
Now we anticipate the feast for which we wait. Come take the bread, come drink the wine, come share the Lord.
For He will feed us with His presence here, this bread and wine will do us good.
Our deepest hungers He will satisfy, for He is life and peace and rest and drink and food.
He joins us here. He breaks the bread. The Lord who pours the cup is risen from the dead.
The one we love the most is now our gracious host. Come take the bread, come drink the wine, come share the Lord.

No one is a stranger here. Everyone be longs. Finding our forgiveness here, we in turn forgive
all wrongs. We are now the family of which the Lord is head. Though unseen He meets us here in the breaking of the bread.

We gather here in Jesus' name, His love is burning in our hearts like living flame. For through His Loving Son, the Father makes us one. Come take the bread, come drink the wine, come share the Lord.
We'll gather soon where angels sing, we'll see the glory of our Lord and coming King.
Now we anticipate the feast for which we wait. Come take the bread, come drink the wine, come share the Lord.

This week and beyond

This week, the chancel choir has our annual retreat on Friday and Saturday at the new Ebenezer retreat center. We will have ultimate rehearsals for two days to sing and read new music.

This Sunday, the children's choir will lift their songs up during services. The chancel choir will sing "He is Jehovah" as our anthem. The anthem is based on "Israelite folk tune".

Here is the text. Enjoy!

He is Jehovah

He is Jehovah, God of creation. He is Jehovah, Lord God Almighty, the balm of Gilead, the rock of ages. He is Jehovah, the God that healeth thee.

He is great I am, the God of Abraham, Jehovah Shalom, the God of peace I am, the God of Israel, the Everlasting One, He is Jehovah, the God that healeth thee.

Sing Hallelujah, Sing Hallelujah! He is Jehovah, Lord God Almighty, He is Jehovah, the God that healeth thee.

He is your Provider, Jehova Jireh, God of Salvation, God of Messiah.

The Son He sent to you and testified of Him. He is Jehovah, the God that healeth thee.

With All My Heart

This week anthem is "With All My Heart". It is one of my favorites. The Youth choir will join at the second service to sing with the chancel choir. Also, the adult handbell will play "Shalom, my friends" as a musical offering.
This anthem text is especially very intimate to the Lord. I pray that we all praise Him with all our heart in one say "We love You, Lord". Here is the text.

With All My heart by Babbie Mason

If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus 'tis now.
In this quiet place with You I bow before Your throne. I bare the deepest part of me to You and You alone. I keep no secrets for there is no thought You have not known.
I bring my best and all the rest to You and lay them down.

With all my heart I want to love You, Lord, and live my life each day to know You more.
All that is in me is Your completely, I'll serve You only with all my heart.

You faithfully supply my needs according to Your plan, so help me Lord, to seek Your face before I seek Your hand. And trust You know what's best for me when I don't understand, then follow in obedience in every circumstance.

With all my heart I want to love You, Lord, and live my life each day to know You more.
All that is in me is Your completely, I'll serve You only with all my heart.

This week anthem and beyond

This Sunday is the first Sunday of September and we will have a communion.

The chancel choir will praise " As we break the bread" as our anthem. Because of the storm Hanna we unfortunately cancelled the Romanian choir concert on Thursday night.

The Youth choir started last Sunday. So, for youth, please come at 4:30 on Sunday to the Sanctuary. If you play any instruments, please let me know too.

Praying that everyone remembers Him during this week especially the communion.

As We Break the Bread

As we break the bread, as we drink the wine,
All our strength will be supplied, Lord Jesus will provide, And may it ever be.

As we break the bread, as we drink the wine,
in this blessed, holy place we will know the tender grace of Jesus Christ, who said,
"Remember me."

This is the body broken; this, our daily bread.
This is the blood of the covenant; with it we are fed.

As we break the bread, as we drink the wine, we remember Jesus said, " I will rise up from the dead." In His death we shall be free from all sin eternally, for our Lord and Savior said,
" Remember me."

As we break the bread, as we drink the wine,
We remember Him.
