Kneeling

I noticed that kneeling is hard among big people who have longer legs. However, among Korean, we kneel a lot especially when we seriously pray. I love to kneel. Whenever I kneel, I feel giving up everything before my God. I am humble when I kneel. I want to start my new week with a kneeling prayer. I found out myself that I have started making excuses not kneeling to pray lately. I know, it is not matter of how we pray but when I kneel, I can hear better and pour out my heart to the Lord more. Lord, I am kneeling right now to confess that I am nothing, but you are everything.

The word about kneeling is a powerful one. I have always included invitations to kneel at the altar as a part of my ministry because to kneel is to be reminded that the one doing the kneeling is not the center of the universe. In our culture there is no place for kneeling. I am thankful our church and our faith calls us to this posture of submission and surrender.
